Caring for our environment is everyone’s business – and that is why AlphaGraphics introduce the Print Green Initiative. To enable us to offer a green alternative, our initiative brings together several disciplines to offer an environmentally friendly approach to printing:
- Papers sourced from responsible forests, with Chain-of-Custody authentication – through our FSC Certification
- All our waste is managed responsibly through our Environmental Management system – ISO 14001
- Quality Management – applying rigorous standards of ISO 9001 to everything we do
- The majority of our paper and packaging waste is recycled
- Our supplies are sourced from local certified suppliers wherever possible to reduce transport emmissions
- We plan our delivery schedules to minimise our impact on the environment
- We target to reduce our Carbon Footprint
- We pursue a policy of continuous improvement to further develop our Print Green Initiative
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
AlphaGraphics has recently succeeded in earning additional credibility in the environmental area and can now ensure that your paper and documents we produce, can be as green as you require them to be. We’ve achieved this through successfully earning certification as an approved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) supplier.
Products which carry the FSC logo are independently certified to assure customers that they come from forests which are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
Being certified means that we can now offer FSC paper and due to our internal procedures can ensure its “purity” and that it’s not been contaminated by any non FSC paper stock. This ‘Chain Of Custody’ ensures the paper in question can be traced back to its source ensuring its environmental credentials.
FSC certification requires appropriate management and is only available to certain organisations who meet the criteria.
