The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) brings people together to promote responsible forest management and to find solutions to the problems created by bad forestry practices. Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.

FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important organisations promoting responsible forestry. Its international certification is a chain-of-custody program that certifies that wood fibre originates from economically managed forests and ensures it is properly processed during its transformation into consumer products. 

Formed in 1993, FSC has grown globally to extend its reach into 81 countries, issuing over 10000 CoC certificates, ensuring the certification of over 100 million hectares of forest. Our certificate number is SGS-COC-005986.

FSC:

• Prohibits the cultivation of genetically modified trees (GMOs)
• Respects the right of indigenous peoples around the world
• Controls each certified operation at least once a year and if they are found not to comply, the certificate is withdrawn.
