AG supports and raises funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service

We’ve kicked off the new year with a donation of £1,000 and a pledge to raise more funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service charity.

We nominated the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) as our charity of choice to raise funds for in 2020, but due to the pandemic, fundraising opportunities have been difficult to arrange and manage.

Our director, Andrew Dalton, said: “With the unpredictable year we have just had, we are pleased we have been able to give something back to a charity that means so much to many of us, and we want to support them further into 2021.

“We usually aim to support a specific charity each year and our whole team get involved in raising funds, but during the pandemic this has been difficult. It felt only fair to give a cash donation to GNAAS to make up for lost fundraising efforts. We feel very proud to support them.”

With the current lockdown still in full swing and further restrictions unpredictable, the AlphaGraphics team is now working with the GNAAS to come up with further ways to raise money for the charity that are in line with the government’s guidelines.

Leya Baksh, corporate fundraising officer at GNAAS, said: “We are very grateful for the donation from AlphaGraphics and their commitment to supporting us through these challenging times. We have seen a slump in corporate donations last year, so it is great that they have pledged their support.

“Despite the pandemic restrictions, there are still many ways in which AlphaGraphics, and other businesses can help and fundraise. It is a great way to boost your corporate responsibility while helping us ensure our critical care team still have the resources and equipment they need to care for severely ill and injured patients in the region.

“We’re looking forward to coming up with some fundraising opportunities throughout 2021 with the team at AlphaGraphics.”
